All in all - it is what it is - Dead shows are always a bit unpredictable. Very good versions of some of the songs - top notch, and Oteil's bass solo and the full-tilt fusion jazz blow out at the end on Sunday night was over-the-top awesome! Loved it! The drone show at the end was outstanding! I'm a long time Dead Head and it was not a cozy environment, but I was determined to be there at the end, and I was. I wish they had played "One More Saturday Night"on Saturday night. Not terrible - just annoying - unnecessary. A lot of space invasion even in the seats with bigger people taking their half out of my space. I was NOT going to shove my butt into the guy behind me so she had more room! It was crowded - too bad. She did not like my response that if she "stopped doing that"the problem would stop also. I wanted to be in GA (Saturday night) to really enjoy the graphics and light show, and a lot of rude/indifferent/not cool/drunk? (newbie) fans shoved their way in and stood in front of me, and one girl acted like it was MY fault that she kept banging her butt into me. The sound was probably better up higher - there was a lot of comb-filtering or a short-reflection echo/boominess that muddled up the sound - it was hard to hear the words. In the lower seats, it was very far away. On the field, it was hard to see the stage, even up fairly close. Oracle Park is really big and I heard comments that I agreed with that they could have "turned it up". The LA (Forum) and Phoenix shows were friendlier and had better sightlines and sound.
